The Golden Horseshoe Athlete of the Year is presented annually at the C.Y.O Children's Fundraiser in Hamilton. Past recipients include Kia Nurse, Laura Fortino, Mackenzie Hughes, Melissa Tancredi, Ryan Ellis, Kyle Quinlan, Jesse Lumsden and Joanne Malar.
